Making sure everyone has something good to drink

At FTB we care about more than just making great cocktails. We’re also passionate about giving back. That’s why a portion of every can sold goes to help provide clean water in both developing countries and disadvantaged areas domestically in the US.

Did you know:

  • According to the WHO, globally, more than 785 million people did not have access to basic water services and more than 884 million people did not have safe water to drink. — LINK

  • In developing countries, as much as 80% of illnesses are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions. — LINK

  • There are 206 million people with limited water services, or an improved water source requiring more than 30 minutes to collect water (2017) - LINK

  • 1.4 million Americans still lack access to indoor plumbing (hot and cold running water, a sink, a shower/bath, or a flush toilet) - LINK

With your help we can help people here in the US and across the world gain access to a basic human right — Clean Water!

Here are the projects we’ve donated to so far.

Filter of Hope - Havana, Cuba - 3/27/22

In March of 2022 I had an opportunity to not only donate to a water charity but to GO and make a difference myself by installing water filters in Havana, Cuba. Filter Of Hope is a Christian based water charity that brings an innovative, low-cost solution to the water problem throughout Central America and the Caribbean.

While large scale projects like digging wells and installing rain collection systems are immensely valuable, they require a significant amount of infrastructure and funding to complete. For just $40, Filter Of Hope is able to provide a water filter that filters out harmful bacteria and microorganisms. It can be installed into a bucket, filter up to 250 gallons per day, and last 10 years! The filters are gravity fed and require no power. This innovative solution is an incredible way to get clean water into communities where they otherwise wouldn’t have any.

In total, we distributed 38 filters to families in Havana. Now over 100 people have access to clean water!

Water is Life - Fishers Rotary Club - 1/12/22

We had the pleasure of partnering with a local charity right here in Fishers, IN who has the same passion for clean water as we do. Water is Life is a partnership between Heartland Church and the Fishers Rotary club. After 12 years they have built over 155 wells in the country of Sierra Leone. Once we learned about the great work they were doing, we chose them as our next donation. For their Charity Ball last December we became the official Beverage sponsor and donated $1300. If you’re interested in participating next year, keep an eye out for their annual Charity Ball at https://fisherswaterislife.com/

Charity: Water - 8/13/2021

We donated $700 to Charity: Water, to provide clean drinking water to a community in need. Charity: Water is a nonprofit organization where 100% of publicly donated money goes to fund water projects. Scott Harrison started the organization which has now served over 13 million people in 29 different countries. Here is his story.

The Water Project - 12/11/2020

We donated $1000 to build a well with a hand pump in Rubona Kyawendera Uganda. As of April 2021 the well has been completed and is functional (seen here). Before that, people would walk more than a mile each day to reach the nearest scoop holes and protected springs. Those water sources were near animals causing the water to become contaminated. This new well not only provides a reliable water source nearby, it also helps improve the quality of the water. You can read more about the community and well construction below.

The Navajo Project - 12/11/2020

It was a shock to us as well, that there are still people in the US without access to water. 1 in 3 Navajo still don’t have a sink or a toilet. So we decided to expand our efforts and include domestic water needs too, so we donated $600 to Dig Deep’s Navajo Project. See more about them below.
